What do your classes include?  We provide all training required to apply for a MN, WI, UT and FL permits to carry.  Our class fee includes the range fee and use of a firearm for the qualification if needed.  We would urge you to bring your own firearm for the qualification if you are familiar with it.  Please know that only WI residents and active duty military stationed in WI can obtain a WI Permit.  As it currently stands, your WI certificate is valid forever so if you move to WI 10 years from now, you can use the certificate provided at class to apply for a WI permit.  (If you are a non-resident of WI, you can carry in WI on a MN permit or a UT permit.)

What is not included in your classes?   The permits are not included.  Permits are applied for from government agencies.  Prices and the application process vary from state to state.  We provide the required training only.  You will be responsible for paying the fees for the permit itself.  You will also need to pass the required background checks.  You must provide passport style photos and fingerprint cards for UT and FL permits.  You may also be required to provide other documents such as copies of your drivers license or proof of citizenship if you were born outside the United States.  Please call or email or check the state's web site if you would like current permit charges.  They tend to change often enough that I hate to publish them here.

What time do classes start and end?
Classes start at 8:00 a.m. and end between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.  Please show up a few minutes early for check in.

What time is lunch break?   We do not take a lunch break as such.  We have 5 minute breaks about every hour on the hour.  You are free the eat your lunch anytime during class or during the range time when others are outside shooting.  Sometimes there will be hot dogs and pizza available at the bar for purchase but don't count on it.  Coffee, muffins, cookies, yogurt, fruit and orange juice are available in the class room at no charge.

What should I bring to class?   Your firearm, if you have one you plan to carry, and a box of ammunition.  Those items should remain in your vehicle until the range exercise.   Eye and ear protection.  If you do not have any of the above, we can provide it for you.  Use of a firearm, eye and ear protection can be provided at no cost.  Bring ammunition if shooting one of our .380, 9mm, .38, .357, 40 or 45s or purchase it at the class.

I need to buy a gun before class.  What should I purchase?  We would urge you not to do that.  During class we provide many ideas on what to consider before the purchase.  Too many people go out and buy a gun in the weeks before class only to find out it does not suite their carry needs.  We will have a variety of gun types for you to check out.  For instance, a man went out and bought his wife a .40 semi automatic.  The wife could not handle the effort required to operate the slide nor could she load the magazine.  That made that particular firearm unworkable and pretty much useless to her.  She simply did not have the hand strength required to operate the firearm on her own.

Do you honor competitor's coupons from GroupOn, Living Social or Entertainment?  No we do not.  We would urge you to shop carefully, read reviews and testimonials, talk to friends and make a careful choice.  We feel our classes offer exceptional value and are more comprehensive than most. Many others charge extra for the shooting range time or firearms use.  We do not. You can find cheaper classes and many more expensive classes that do not offer what we do.  If you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to use your gun, you will wish you had the best training; not the cheapest.  We would also urge you to see how many classes are sold on these "deals" and then check the schedule for the trainer and see if they can deliver on your purchase any time soon.

Are classes ever held elsewhere?  If you have a group and a location, we will come to you within a reasonable distance.  Contact Bob with the number of students and the facility information for a quote.  Any class desiring Minnesota and or Florida training certification must have a safe shooting area readily available.  Doesn't need to be fancy, just safe.
